The Neonode MultiSensing® Technology is incorporated in our single optical controller chip. This brings you a number of advantages such as lower cost and increased speed. All control hardware, such as the LED drivers, amplifiers, multiplexers, voltage regulators and filters, are integrated into the chip. The single chip solution increases the scanning speed (up to 1000 Hz) giving ultra fast response times down to 1 millisecond. It also gives five to six times lower power consumption compared with a discrete solution.
Less components gives a lower bill of material (BOM) costs and a smaller PCB foot print. With all control hardware collected in one chip and with a standard SPI interface the integration into devices like smart phones becomes much simpler resulting in a shorter time to market.
Works with any object!
- A stunning scanning speed of 1000 Hz (latency down to 1ms) and consumes less than 1mW at 100Hz.
- Tracks any high-speed multi-touch gesture with any object (finger, gloved finger and passive pens) with high accuracy.
- Connects to any microcontroller or application processor with a high speed SPI interface. The controller works in single or multiple configurations supporting screen sizes up to 20 inch.
- Supports advanced power management and implements the Neonode AlwaysONTM technology where the touch is active even when the device is in sleep- or off mode.
